Welcome to Navodian Reunions — the most emotional category on this forum, dedicated entirely to the art of finding each other again.
This is where batch reunions are born. Where lost batchmates are found. Where someone types a name they haven’t said out loud in fifteen years and somehow — miraculously — that person shows up in the replies.
If the Memories category is about looking back, this one is about reaching back — and pulling people forward with you.
Because some friendships don’t fade. They just get misplaced. And this is where you find them.
What You Can Post Here
This category is for:
-
Batch reunion planning — organising get-togethers for your JNV batch, whether it’s a 5-year, 10-year, 25-year, or “we just felt like it” reunion
-
School reunion announcements — JNV-wide alumni gatherings, school foundation day events, alumni days organised by or for Navodians
-
Finding lost batchmates — posts looking for specific people, a particular batch, or anyone from your JNV you’ve lost touch with
-
House & dorm reunions — getting the old Shivaji House, Tagore House, or hostel dorm block back together
-
Teacher reconnects — tracking down teachers, wardens, or staff who shaped your JNV years and want to hear from you
-
City-based alumni circles — finding fellow Navodians from your school now living in the same city, for informal ongoing connection
-
Online reunion threads — virtual catch-ups, video calls, and digital reunions for batches spread across the world
-
Reunion recaps & photos — posts sharing how a reunion went, with photos, memories, and updates for those who couldn’t make it
-
Reconnect requests — general “anyone from JNV [Name], Batch [Year] here?” threads to find your people
How to Post a Reunion or Reconnect Thread
To help people find your post and respond quickly, include:
-
Your JNV name & district — e.g., JNV Jaipur, JNV Sitamarhi, JNV Koraput
-
Batch / passing out year — e.g., Batch of 2008, Class of 2014
-
What you’re looking for — a specific person, your entire batch, your house, or just anyone from your school
-
Reunion details (if applicable) — proposed date, location or platform, how to RSVP or join the planning group
-
How to reach you — forum DM, WhatsApp group link, email — whatever works best for you
The more specific your post, the faster your people find you.

Why This Category Exists
Farewell at JNV is unlike any farewell most of us will ever experience again.
You don’t just say goodbye to classmates. You say goodbye to the people who saw you cry on your first night away from home. Who shared their tiffin when yours ran out. Who stayed up with you before boards. Who knew your worst days and your best ones — and stuck around through both.
And then — in the space of a morning — they scatter. Different colleges, different cities, different countries. Life moves fast and the distance grows quietly, until one day you realise you haven’t spoken to your closest batchmate in eight years.
This category exists because that distance is not permanent — it just needs a bridge. And sometimes that bridge is nothing more than a post that says: “I’m looking for my people. Is anyone out there?”
Someone always is.
A Few Guidelines
-
Be respectful of privacy — do not share someone else’s contact details publicly without their permission; connect people through DMs where possible
-
No commercial reunion services — do not use this category to promote paid event management or reunion planning services
-
Keep it genuine — this is a space built on real bonds; treat every reconnect request with the sincerity it deserves
-
Update your thread — if you find your batchmate, if the reunion happens, if plans change — update your post so others following along know what happened
-
Be patient — not everyone checks the forum every day; give reconnect threads time before assuming no one is out there
